Where this one stands
Statamic's REST API is read-only by default, and writing goes through its own Control Panel rather than a published write interface. An add-on of our own would be the route.
Is there a Statamic add-on to install?
Not yet. There is no Statamic add-on to install, because nothing has been built for Statamic yet. The section above explains why, and nothing is sold until there is.
Why it works this way
Installing software on somebody’s website is a liability: it has to be updated, it can break on an upgrade, and it keeps running after they stop paying. Where Statamic gives us a published interface, using it is better for you than giving you one more thing to maintain.

Will it slow my Statamic site down?
Nothing of ours runs on your Statamic site unless the section above says otherwise, so there is nothing of ours to slow it down. Requests arrive from outside, like any other client of your Statamic interface.
What happens on my Statamic site if I cancel?
Your content stays exactly as it is. You revoke the credential you created, and that is the end of it — nothing of ours remains behind to remove.
